Am I going to get bullied in high school?
d0ntd0drugs asked:
I am going into 9th grade in 4 weeks. I am 50 and 90 pounds. And I have a speech impediment. I didn’t really get bullied at all in middle school, or elementary school. So am I going to get bullied in high school? And if I do what should I expect?
i was kinda popular in middle school anyways :O

Not if you stand up for yourself at the get-go. Have confidence in yourself so they will see that you won’t put up with it.

I don’t think so. But you might…
I’m going into 9th grade too. But I have to go back in about 2 1/2 weeks.
Don’t worry though =)

If you don’t make yourself seem vulnerable, then you won’t get bullied. Don’t make yourself seem like an easy target to pick on for bullies. Be confident.

It is a possibility. But remember, nothing is ever good enough for some kids in high school. They just HAVE to tease someone to help boost their plastic ego. Remember, they’re not worth stressing over. They have no life.

I asked a lot of people that too since i’m going to high school in 4 weeks. No, it’s not like all of those high school movies. In high school, people are mature and not like in middle school. The only way you’ll get bullied in high school is if you mess with the jocks. You’ll be in trouble there. But other than that, don’t think of getting bullied. It won’t happen.

School is hell, everyone gets called names at some point. Don’t worry about it
i knew a guy at school with a stutter and he never got bullied because he was relaxed, and generally a nice guy. Don’t make yourself a target by being shy or quiet, just be your normal self, but don’t be loud and interrupt in class ect.. sometimes that will make others hate you and that wont help lol
Good luck in 9th grade.

Unfortunately, many teens are a–holes. You could get bullied, but try to hang out with teachers and staff. The worst bullying happens in middle school and 9th grade then it starts to taper off.
This is why I home schooled my daughter for 7th and 8th, the pvt hi school (unfortunately expensive). Her school is full of kids that were used to getting bullied, so they all hang out pretty good

OMG IM LIKE EXACTLY THE SAME! lol, i didnt get bullied, but i was scared to death that i would, im 17 and im still 50 and 85 lbs… i just have a slight lisp. But i just flaunt it and make it seem awesome to have a lisp lol. and remember highschool is barely different than middle school, just a bit more drama.

Not if you do yourself a favor and silently assert yourself from day one (with or without the impediment). Sounds like you look normal and are intelligent so I’m sure you won’t have problems.
Take it from a woman who once had probs in middle school and then never had anyone so much as look at her wrong ever again, if you are quietly unruffled and verbally sarcastic in your remarks to people who are nasty to you, you will never be bothered again.
My first day of high school I was waiting in lunch line and some Senior girl decided to straight up butt in front of me in line. I just looked at her for a second and then said sarcastically I think you’re a little confused as to where you were in line. she looked at me with a c*nty attitude and said Pffffft…..I’m a SENIOR. and I looked at her and said That doesn’t make you any less likely to get your as* kicked by me, sweetie.
That was the one and ONLY time I had to assert myself.
If someone says ANYTHING about your speech impediment here’s what you say and just fill in the blank appropriate to the situation: Really. Well at least my speech is something I can work on as opposed to being born with a tiny dick.
or ……as opposed to having an ugly face. That sh*t is PERMANENT.
Say it cooly and without anger. Never show your emotion to those people. They just want a reaction no matter what kind it is. Cool sarcasm and a sharp wit will shut them up AND make them beg to be your best friend so that they’re not on the receiving end of your sarcasm ever again.

In high school, especially on the first day, expect it. Expect anything. Prepare to be put in trash cans, have your pants pulled down, (Wear a tight belt! Wear a pair of nice boxers!), if you have the time and the funds, learn some sort of martial art. Look at people on the street and practice talking trash about them in your head, get yourself prepared for when someone is trash talking you. Remember, funny insults are the most effective. (Ex. Your dick is so small, the sperm have to come out single file! They don’t even have room to swim, the one in back has to push!) If you want to have any kind of respect or girls in high school, you’ve got to stand up for yourself immediately, don’t back down!

no, your not going to be bullied. the best thing to do when entering high school is to stick with a group of friends you previously hung out with in middle school. high school is a level where students become more mature and treat everyone equally. you do get those kids who are just plain immature and act stupid (mostly guys) to get attention. i have no idea why they do it but they do. don’t let them get to you okay? you will do great in high school.
i wish the very best to you :]!

After looking at some of your ‘Singles and Dating’ QA, you’ll fit right in with the wrong crowd where you’re attending high school.

Not really. Tv shows and movies always make it seem like a huge guy named Butch, with a leather jacket and a Mohawk, is going to come up to you and push you into the lockers and ask for your lunch money. That’s not what it’s like at all. There are some assholes in high school but they are the least respects d-bags in the school so you won’t even care that they are mean. Don’t ever take a mean person seriously, they are only mean because they need to boost their own low self esteem. You won’t be bullied unless you take to heart what a couple douches say.

well if i was at your school i would probably bully you lol
but yeah you will probably grow later on
or you can always just become friends with the toughest guy there first just in case anyone wants to mess with you
i wouldnt advise you to stand up for yourself cuz you would get knocked out lol

You might, it makes a big difference on the school. A lot of schools have had an anti-bullying policy for several year, not that it doesn’t still exist, it just may not be quite as bad. During orientation, they should tell you if they have an anti-bullying policy. If they, do use it.
