Did You Like Your Elementary School or Teachers?
I did! I went to Chase Street Elementary In Athens, Georgia. It was built in 1922 and is still kicking.
… I loved going there. My home room teacher was a Mrs. Wilburn. The woman scared the hell out of me. I don’t know why but when she smiled at me I always thought I had screwed up somehow. I’m sure she was a nice lady but I didn’t think so then. I had a lady name Mrs. Ricky my Arithmetic teacher (a real nice woman … not bad to look at either .. (smiling), Mrs. Lemond my Reading teacher, Mrs. Baker my (I have no idea what she taught!) teacher who was also my baby sitter. I loved her! I could never do any wrong as far as she was concerned even when I actually did do something wrong.
(I exploited that! (laughing)
My first grade teachers Mrs. Forsythe who was Canadian. She was very nice. I was sweet on her too! (grinning)
I loved the Cafeteria workers. They always wore white clothing/aprons/hats an they gave me second helpings of desert because I would pick up the trays and dump trash for them. Cool people!
Did you have that one boogie Man/Woman who terrorized you and you really hated them?
Mine was the principal … a Mr. Bryan C. Crafts. He of the giant, exceedingly large Wooden Paddle. I went to his office so often I thought I lived there! Back when corporal punishment was corporal punishment. When it was legal and actually worked. I kind of wish they would bring it back. He got drunk on one of his hunting trips and took off his clothes and eventually got arrested for indecency costing him his career. I was happy about it though I really didn’t know what indecency was at the time. My dad read it to us from the mornings paper.
Somewhere around that time (I can’t remember the actual year) is when I learned that death was real. I played cowboys and indians all day and thought death was cool. It really wasn’t. A kid I couldn’t stand because he was a bully and we always fought over something stupid was struck by a drunk driver on a rainy morning while walking to school. The driver never saw him.
I think about Billy Ray Parks to this very day.
Thanks and thumbs up to all who answer. Just give me time to get back and read the answers.

Panther : You answere as if you are still in elementary school. (smiling)
I love science fiction and nature also and I betcha I read a lot more than you! (laughing)
